Strive Consolidates its Position Among Major Corporate Holdings
According to data from Bitcoin Treasuries, Strive ranks as the seventh-largest public company by bitcoin held in its treasury. The list is led by Strategy, founded by Michael Saylor, with 840,447 BTC, followed by Twenty One Capital with 43,514 BTC, Metaplanet with 43,000 BTC, MARA with 35,577 BTC and Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company with 30,021 BTC.
Bitcoin-based treasuries continue expanding their positions and adjusting their financing strategies. Strategy announced last week that it sold 18.26 million MSTR shares for approximately $2 billion between August 17 and 23, without having bought or sold any bitcoin during that period.
Of the net proceeds, it allocated $300 million to increase its dollar reserve to $5.1 billion and assigned $1.59 billion to a new fund called “USD Cash“, which could be used for future bitcoin purchases, dividend payments and other corporate operations.
The Market and the CEO’s Outlook
Regarding market context, Bitcoin closed Friday at $77,387, posting a gain of nearly 25% over the week, and was trading near $80,000 on Monday, according to CoinMarketCap data. In that context, Strive CEO Matt Cole stated he has a “very strong” conviction that the bitcoin bear market has ended, noting that the cryptocurrency posted bullish breakouts both against the dollar and against gold.
Cole indicated that the BTC/gold ratio bottomed in February and the BTC/dollar ratio did so in July, and anticipated that strong demand for scarce assets will favor bitcoin. At the close of the latest period, Strive’s cash and equivalents rose to $171.9 million, up from the $154.8 million recorded on August 14.
