Stripe announced that Mercor, the marketplace that connects more than 30,000 professionals per week with artificial intelligence companies to train and evaluate models, has chosen its platform as the financial infrastructure for its global operations.
The integration will use Stripe Connect to manage onboarding and verification of professionals, process international payments and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks across multiple regions, so Mercor will not need to build its own systems in each country.
The marketplace operates on a global scale and brings together profiles ranging from researchers and engineers to Nobel Prize and Emmy Award winners, all focused on providing specialized human data that companies need to develop next-generation AI models. In addition to Connect, Mercor incorporated the Instant Payouts system, a feature that allows professionals to receive their earnings in seconds, even on weekends and holidays, directly from the platform’s dashboard.
The speed and reliability of payments is critical for the professionals in the network. Stripe demonstrated its ability to scale alongside the platform without requiring custom developments on a country-by-country basis.
