Strategy resumed its bitcoin purchases after a pause of approximately two months, the longest the company has recorded in its BTC accumulation history. The firm acquired 4,603 BTC for a total of $369.7 million during the past week, at an average price of $80,318 per unit, according to a press release.
The operation was funded primarily through the sale of common shares for $602.8 million. The remaining funds were allocated to the repurchase of $151.8 million in preferred shares STRC and to strengthening the company’s cash reserves. Its chief executive officer Michael Saylor anticipated the operation on Sunday through his account on X, where he posted a chart with the firm’s purchase history and wrote: “We’re â‚¿ack“.

Strategy Strengthens its Dollar Reserves
The return of purchases comes in a particular context: during the previous two months, Strategy had redirected its attention toward rebuilding its dollar reserves, which now exceed $6.7 billion. During that period, the price of STRC preferred shares fell to $75, well below their par value of $100, although they gradually recovered to close last week above $97 once the firm halted its massive BTC acquisitions.
Back in Positive Territory
With this purchase, the company’s total holdings rise to 845,050 BTC, acquired for $63.73 billion at an average price of $75,412 per unit. At the current market price, that position is worth $66.4 billion, meaning the portfolio returned to positive territory for the first time since May.
The MSTR stock is trading higher with a gain of 1.65% in the pre-market session, while Bitcoin is trading around $78,400.
