Standard Chartered Bank, through its Head of Digital Assets Research, Geoff Kendrick, released a bold prediction, projecting that BTC will reach $200,000 by the end of 2025. This forecast comes as Bitcoin recovers above $108,900, a move that Kendrick sees as the end of a “short-term correction” and a clear buying opportunity.
The bank’s confidence is based on strong inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, which recently recorded $477 million in positive inflows, and the growing demand for BTC as a “safe-haven” asset or “digital gold.” This view is reinforced by the widespread expectation of upcoming interest rate cuts by the U.S. Federal Reserve, which boosts risk assets.
While traders watch the short-term technical resistance near $111,750, Standard Chartered’s long-term vision extends to $500,000 by 2028. It will be closely monitored whether institutional ETF flows remain positive and if Bitcoin’s recent recovery can consolidate to initiate the next major bull run.
