Pi Network announced a partnership with Open Standard, the protocol behind the stablecoin Open USD (OUSD), with the goal of expanding financial utility within its ecosystem.

The integration incorporates OUSD as a payments and rewards tool for Pioneers, Pi Network’s verified users. Open Standard has more than 200 partnerships across payments, finance, and technology sectors, including Visa, Google, and Stripe, which gives the collaboration strong institutional backing.

OUSD was deployed on Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Tempo, connecting Pi Network with already established multichain platforms. However, Pi Network did not specify how OUSD will be integrated into its ecosystem or under what conditions users will access the promised rewards. The real impact of the partnership will depend on whether those incentives manage to translate into concrete activity.

OUSD has an approximate supply of $468 million, although nearly all of it is concentrated on the Tempo platform, which shows that the multichain expansion is still at a very early stage.

Pi Network, for its part, has more than 17 million KYC-verified users, a considerable base for scaling stablecoin adoption if the rewards model proves effective.
