Orderly Network launched Demo DEX, a live demonstration platform designed to allow developers and users to test every new protocol feature at the exact moment it is released, without waiting for those updates to propagate to the DEXs built on the network.
The project aims to solve a problem for the builders ecosystem: when Orderly integrates a new chain, an unprecedented module, or a trading tool, the time it takes for that novelty to be reflected in third-party decentralized exchanges can be considerable.
Demo DEX addresses this by offering a neutral production environment that is continuously updated, where any improvement —from TWAP orders to multi-collateral support— can be evaluated immediately.
The platform does not seek to compete with the DEXs already operating on Orderly. Fees were set at a flat scheme of 6 bps for takers and 3 bps for makers, with no volume-tiered levels, which underscores its nature as a technical showcase rather than a trading venue.
The protocol emphasized that its central purpose remains empowering builders, and that Demo DEX was conceived with that same principle as its core.
