Ondo Finance announced that its subsidiary Oasis Pro Markets, registered as a broker-dealer with the SEC, obtained FINRA regulatory authorizations to offer tokenized securities to institutional and retail investors in the United States.
The approvals allow Ondo to launch regulated markets for tokenized corporate equity, investment funds, ETFs, mutual funds and indices, as well as facilitate primary issuances and secondary transactions of these instruments under SEC and FINRA oversight.
The approved regulatory framework allows the settlement of these assets to be carried out in both fiat currency and stablecoins, including direct transfers between blockchain wallets. This considerably expands the operational scope of the platform within the U.S. financial system.
The authorizations were made possible by Ondo’s acquisition of Oasis Pro, a company that already held a broker-dealer, an alternative trading system (ATS) and a transfer agent, all three registered with the SEC. Oasis Pro TA, the firm’s transfer agent, manages onchain services such as capitalization tables, shareholder rights and collateral mobility across assets.
In addition, the licenses allow for omnibus account structures integrated with existing advisory channels and broker-dealers, which reduces onboarding complexity for registered investment advisers, institutional investors and retirement accounts.
