MoonPay launched MoonAgents, a desktop application that allows artificial intelligence assistants to interact with crypto wallets and blockchain services through a graphical interface. The app is compatible with Claude Code, from Anthropic, and with Codex, from OpenAI, and is designed to remove the technical configuration barriers that limit this type of tool to users without programming knowledge.
MoonAgents had originally launched as a command-line tool in February of this year. The desktop version presented this week brings those capabilities to a visual interface that automates much of the installation process. Users can log in with their Claude or Codex accounts, with no need to manually configure the underlying environments.

The application includes preconfigured Skills, scheduled Automations, and an Artifacts system for generating custom dashboards. On the security side, Kevin Arifin, Head of Agents at MoonPay, explained that private keys are stored locally on the user’s device under encryption, which prevents the language model from accessing or viewing them at any time.
