Haliey Welch and multiple associated entities were named as defendants in an amended federal lawsuit tied to the $HAWK memecoin, after a judge approved changes to the original complaint filed by investors in December 2024.

The amended filing alleges that Welch profited more than $325,000 from the token’s launch, which collapsed 90–95% within hours after reaching a market capitalization near $500 million. Plaintiffs said new evidence provided by an informant justified expanding the case.

According to the complaint, the informant shared chat logs indicating premeditation and coordination among participants. Blockchain forensic analysis allegedly linked wallets involved in $HAWK to prior memecoin schemes, including $LIBRA, $M3M3, and $AIAI, all associated with the Meteora platform. The filing claims similar technical patterns, including misleading liquidity-lock indicators.

New defendants include Welch, her manager Jonnie Forster, 16 Minutes LLC, Meteora and CEO Ben Chow, Solana Sweeper, Memetic Labs, and Dynamic Labs Limited. Welch is accused of unjust enrichment, with payments allegedly tied to promotional milestones funded through wallets linked to the Tuah the Moon Foundation.

Welch has remained largely absent from public platforms since late 2024. Other defendants have previously denied wrongdoing.
