Gate launched Gate for AI, an infrastructure designed for artificial intelligence agents to interact directly with the exchange’s core operational components, including trading, wallets, on-chain data, and real-time market information.
Unlike current models, where AI tools function as external assistants that query APIs without deep access to the infrastructure, this system integrates them as native components capable of executing complete trading flows.
The platform combines five functional domains: trading on centralized markets, decentralized operations via swaps, wallet management and transaction signing, news feeds and market sentiment, and on-chain information about tokens, projects, and addresses.
Technically, the system is structured in two layers. The first, called MCP, provides standardized interfaces for basic exchange functions. The second, known as Skills, groups data sources and logical models into higher-complexity modules capable of identifying arbitrage opportunities, calculating position sizes, or generating reports based on risk models.
Gate states that the launch is part of its “Intelligent Web3” strategy. Going forward, the company has plans to expand the project with new strategy modules and risk controls.
