TL;DR

  • Fortitude agreed to buy 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro machines for $31.5 million, with shipments scheduled for October and November across seven U.S. mining sites.
  • The order should add 7.56 GSol/s and raise disclosed Zcash mining capacity by 145%, potentially giving Fortitude more than half of current network hashrate.
  • Fortitude mined 72,696 ZEC in the first half of 2026 and is expanding before a proposed Nasdaq listing through its HeartSciences merger.

Fortitude has agreed to buy 9,000 Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro machines for roughly $31.5 million, a purchase designed to more than double its disclosed Zcash mining capacity. Bitmain is expected to ship 3,000 units in October and another 6,000 in November. The order turns Fortitude’s Zcash strategy from aggressive expansion into a potential challenge to the network’s existing balance. The new Equihash ASIC miners are expected to add 7.56 GSol/s, increasing the company’s capacity by 145% once installation and activation are successfully completed across its contracted sites throughout the planned fourth quarter deployment period.

New machines could give Fortitude an outsized network presence

The additional machines would lift Fortitude’s disclosed fleet to about 12.8 GSol/s. At the Zcash network’s current hashrate, that level could represent more than half of total network computing power, although the final percentage will depend on capacity added by other miners. A single operator could temporarily command an unusually large share of the network’s mining infrastructure. That possibility is striking because hashrate concentration can change quickly, and the headline projection assumes both successful deployment and relatively limited expansion elsewhere before Fortitude’s entire order becomes operational. That would place extraordinary visibility on Fortitude’s operational reliability.

Fortitude agreed to buy 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro machines

Fortitude plans to distribute the miners across more than 60 megawatts of contracted power capacity located at seven sites in South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas and New York. The agreement follows the recent energization of a new 12-megawatt mining facility in Grand Island, Nebraska. The company is building physical scale before completing its planned transition into the public markets. Fortitude is preparing to list through a proposed merger with HeartSciences and is expected to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker TUDE, subject to the necessary approvals and completion conditions if the transaction ultimately proceeds successfully.

The Digital Currency Group subsidiary mined 72,696 ZEC during the first half of 2026, equal to about 28% of the network’s total production and worth roughly $34.5 million at current prices. ZEC was trading near $475 after retreating from a local high of about $675 in May. Fortitude is expanding capacity even as the token’s price remains below its recent peak. The bet therefore rests on more than current market value: execution, mining difficulty, network competition and the economics of operating thousands of specialized machines will determine whether the $31.5 million order delivers its intended financial return.
