TL;DR
- Elliptic launched Pulse, an AI tool that allows any police officer to analyze crypto wallets in seconds without technical knowledge.
- With a single click, the full analysis is forwarded to the firm’s forensic platforms or the agency’s workflow, leaving the final decision in the officer’s hands.
- The firm has already participated in operations with the Secret Service and the DOJ.
Elliptic introduced Pulse, a new tool based on artificial intelligence that allows any police officer to analyze a wallet address or a transaction hash in cryptocurrencies within seconds, without requiring any technical knowledge of blockchain technology.
The announcement of this new product was made by the London-based blockchain analytics firm, and targets the expansion of its integration capabilities with frontline police work.
👮♀️ Crypto lead prioritization has historically sat with specialist units, which has meant that front-line police officers who encounter a crypto address cannot immediately take action on what is potentially an important piece of intelligence.
That's why we are launching Pulse,…

Elliptic: Pulse Brings Crypto Tracing to Every Patrol Car
Pulse works simply: the officer enters any string resembling a wallet or transaction and receives, within seconds, a financial summary in plain language. If the case requires deeper investigation, a single click sends the full analysis, including the system’s reasoning and field notes tagged with the case number, to Elliptic’s forensic platforms or to the agency’s internal system.
Jackson Hull, the company’s chief technology officer, explained the motivation behind the development: “We built Pulse because we see cryptocurrencies at every law enforcement agency now, not just in specialized units.” The firm states that its platform analyzes more than 99% of crypto trading volume and covers over 65 blockchains.
Elliptic also highlighted that Pulse operates under an agentic AI governance framework that the company itself published this month, with an emphasis on human oversight and model transparency. The final decision, according to the company, rests with the officer and not the system.
A Surveillance That Knows No Limits
What Elliptic presents as an improvement in forensic tracing is, in concrete terms, the extension of the financial surveillance apparatus down to the most basic level of law enforcement. When any agent in any operation can scan a wallet in seconds, financial privacy ceases to be a practical right and becomes an aspiration.
Elliptic’s participation in operations carried out by the Secret Service, the Department of Justice, and investigations into Iran’s central bank reflects the true reach of these tools. Blockchain surveillance is, above all, a growing business.
