Web3 education platform Curious Addys and non-fungible token (NFT) educator Zeneca have joined forces to launch HeyMint, a beginner NFT platform meant to help creators build out their first collection.

Global Firms Double Down On NFTs Despite Slump

The NFT market has had a topsy-turvy performance in 2023 so far, with demand constantly changing on the heels of a shaky crypto market. As per the analytical platform DappRadar, NFT trading volume in Q1 2023 increased by almost 137% compared to the last quarter of 2022. However, a separate report highlighted that the number slacked once again in April 2023, in which NFT holders dropped to their lowest point in the last 12 months.

Despite its fair share of ups and downs, organizations around the world have continued to jump on the NFT bandwagon. Since the beginning of 2023, scores of companies from across the world have strongly pursued their interest in the world of digital collectibles. Recently, legendary American sports magazine Sports Illustrated and iconic auction house, Sotheby’s have increased their efforts to bank on the NFT craze.

NFT Platform For Newbies

In the latest development, Web3 education platforms Curious Addys and Zeneca rolled out HeyMint, allowing artists to mint their creative assets, enforce royalties on-chain, and sell their NFTs in a process meant for Web3 beginners.

The platform aims to be an accessible, equitable, and low-cost creative tool for creators and artists to take advantage of the most cost-effective compared to other solutions in the space as creators pay no fees to list their collections while collectors are charged a nominal $1 per mint.

HeyMint currently supports Ethereum (ETH) along with three Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible chains – Polygon (MATIC), Arbitrum (ARB), and Optimism (OP). In addition, it will provide an easy-to-use NFT launchpad with support for both ERC-721 and ERC-1155. It also includes a PFP NFT Art generator for token generation, rarity setting, custom rules, custom tokens, pre-reveal images, metadata creation, and IPFS uploads.

It seems the freshly forged partnership will address major onboarding issues that are prevalent in the space and facilitate seamless NFT creation. In the wake of the partnership, HeyMint and Zeneca also released a commemorative NFT that anyone can mint for free until May 30. On May 15, Zeneca took to Twitter to confirm the same, stating,

“The partnership will offer toolkits and resources that are absolutely fantastic and can help any and all creators looking to work with NFTs realize their goals. No coding or technical knowledge/experience is required.”
