Crypto.com and the UFC announced a partnership for the UFC Freedom 250 event, to be held on June 14 at the White House and co-presented by the platform. The event commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States and coincides with exchange’s tenth anniversary.
As part of the agreement, the company committed a bonus pool of $1 million in CRO, the native token of the Cronos ecosystem, to be distributed among selected fighters. According to the platform itself, that figure is equivalent to approximately 14.4 million CRO at the current exchange rate.
The bonuses will be incorporated into the traditional Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night scheme awarded by UFC President and CEO Dana White, who described the event as the most historic in the organization’s history and noted that the prize will represent the largest bonus ever given to fighters in UFC history.
Details on how the tokens will be distributed among participants will be announced at a later date. The relationship between both companies dates back to 2021, when Crypto.com was designated as the UFC’s first official Fight Night Kit partner. The event will be distributed exclusively in the United States through Paramount+ and will reach more than 950 million households in over 210 countries.
