Circle and Tereina announced that they are joining forces to enable corporate payments with USDC and EURC in SAP Cloud ERP. Eligible enterprises with Circle Mint accounts will be able, through SAP Pay, to send and settle transactions directly in digital dollars and digital euros, without the need to set up standalone crypto gateways or alter their existing accounting systems.
This integration marks a key milestone for institutional stablecoin adoption, as it connects digital infrastructure with the SAP ecosystem, software linked to 84% of global commerce. Upon approving an invoice or purchase order, the system processes and reconciles the payment in real time via enterprise blockchain, drastically reducing liquidity friction, cross-border settlement times, and operational dependencies on the traditional banking system.
The rollout includes support on the Arc enterprise network for sub-millisecond settlements and fees paid in USDC. The next step of the project aims to integrate operations with SAP’s Joule artificial intelligence agents, fully automating the creation, approval, and accounting execution of global payments.
