Charles Schwab Investment Management, the asset management arm of Charles Schwab Corporation, increased its position in Strategy (MSTR), widely recognized as the largest corporate Bitcoin treasury holder, during the fourth quarter of 2025, according to a recent SEC filing.
The firm added 91,859 MSTR shares over the quarter, raising its total holdings to nearly 1.3 million shares. At the time of reporting, the position was valued at approximately $193 million.
MSTR closed 2025 at around $152, reflecting a 65% decline from its previous peak. The stock moved lower following Tuesday’s market open, trading near $127 at press time, according to market data from Yahoo Finance.
Strategy, originally an enterprise software company, has repositioned itself in recent years as a vehicle for large-scale Bitcoin acquisition. The firm currently holds approximately 717,131 BTC, valued at roughly $48 billion based on prevailing market prices, reinforcing its status as a proxy for Bitcoin exposure within traditional equity markets.
Beyond MSTR, Schwab’s crypto-related portfolio adjustments included 229,000 shares of TON Strategy, down from 286,000 in the third quarter, as well as 6,713 shares of iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) managed by BlackRock, representing a slight increase from the previous quarter.
The filing also disclosed a $5.3 million share position in American Bitcoin Corp., a Bitcoin-focused venture founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, further underscoring Schwab’s diversified exposure to the digital asset ecosystem through both public equities and exchange-traded products.
