Arthur Hayes predicted that Bitcoin will reach $250,000 driven by a wave of liquidity injections from governments and central banks worldwide.
In an interview with Anthony Pompliano, the Maelstrom founder argued that elevated fiscal spending, bond yields at high levels, and the enormous capital needs of artificial intelligence will pressure monetary policymakers in the United States, China, Japan, and Europe to intervene before tensions become systemic.
“I think they’re going to print early and often,” Hayes stated. Bitcoin’s rebound, which moved from around $63,000 to above $80,000, already reflects, according to his analysis, that the market has begun to price in that liquidity scenario.
Hayes does not anticipate an explosive rally similar to previous cycles, but rather a more gradual, “staircase” advance given BTC’s current size. He also sees Ethereum as an asymmetric opportunity after several years of underperformance.
Regarding his portfolio, Hayes estimated that his exposure to Bitcoin is approximately ten times greater than his position in gold, though he continues to rely on diversification across scarce assets and commodity-linked equities.
