TL;DR:
- Anchorage Digital Bank added custody support for Etherlink and seven assets, including xU3O8, a token representing ownership of physical uranium.
- Supported assets also include wrapped XTZ, stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM and wrapped Ether, held through segregated institutional accounts.
- Anchorage says tokenization can reduce uranium settlement from weeks to minutes, while the integration expands regulated custody beyond major cryptocurrencies into specialized real-world assets for institutional clients seeking blockchain-based commodity market exposure.
Anchorage Digital Bank has expanded its institutional custody platform to support Etherlink and seven assets issued on the Tezos layer-2 network, including xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium. The addition pushes federally chartered crypto custody further into tokenized real-world assets while giving institutions access to an uncommon commodity exposure. Etherlink is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible layer-2 that settles on Tezos, and the integration lets Anchorage clients hold supported assets in segregated accounts at the federally chartered bank. Alongside xU3O8, supported assets include wrapped XTZ, stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM and wrapped Ether.
The uranium token is unusual because it represents ownership of physical uranium without requiring investors to directly handle or store the commodity. Anchorage said traditional uranium exposure often involves specialist intermediaries, long settlement periods and relatively high minimum investment sizes. Tokenization changes that operational model by allowing ownership to move and settle in minutes rather than weeks. xU3O8 currently has a market capitalization slightly above $9 million, giving the asset a modest footprint compared with major crypto tokens, but its inclusion broadens the range of tokenized commodities available through regulated institutional custody.
Anchorage Digital now supports @Tezos’ Etherlink, giving institutions custody of assets like xU3O8, tokenized physical uranium, at a federally chartered bank.

Etherlink Support Expands Anchorage’s RWA Custody Reach
The move also brings Anchorage deeper into the Etherlink ecosystem, where tokenized assets can be issued on an EVM-compatible environment while ultimately settling on Tezos. For institutional clients, the practical benefit is access to Tezos-based layer-2 assets without abandoning the custody framework of a federally chartered U.S. crypto bank. That matters for institutions that prioritize account segregation, regulatory structure and operational controls when adding blockchain-based assets. Anchorage is not the first custodian to support xU3O8, however, as Hex Trust integrated Etherlink in August 2025 to provide custody for the uranium token and other network assets.

The broader significance lies in the range of assets now sharing the same custody rails. Stablecoins, wrapped tokens, liquid staking assets and tokenized uranium can all sit within the expanded Etherlink support package. Anchorage’s integration shows how institutional custody is moving beyond major cryptocurrencies toward increasingly specialized onchain assets tied to real-world markets. The combination of regulated custody and faster blockchain settlement could make tokenized commodities easier to access operationally, even if their investment case remains distinct from traditional crypto assets. For xU3O8, the new support adds another institutional access point to a market that historically required far more specialized infrastructure.
