Klaytn, a blockchain project led by South Korean internet giant Kakao, is going to be integrated with OpeaSea to bring its NFTs to the largest NFT marketplace.
According to an announcement made by Klaytn on Sunday, March 28, the integration with OpenSea will make Klaytn blockchain-powered non-fungible tokens (NFTs) available to a wider audience.
Kakao’s global public blockchain project Klaytn is an enterprise-grade, service-centric platform that aims to bring a user-friendly blockchain experience to millions. The blockchain platform is developed by Ground X, the blockchain affiliate of the leading South Korean Internet company, Kakao.
Klaytn is built on a hybrid design that combines the best features of both public and private blockchains and promises to offer high performance, fast response time, and flexible scalability solutions that cater to a wide spectrum of audiences, from micro startups to large-scale enterprises. It also various developer tools to make the developer experience intuitive and productive.
OpenSea is the first and largest marketplace for user-owned digital goods, which include collectibles, gaming items, domain names, digital art, and other NFT assets. According to DappRadar, OpenSea’s position as the largest NFT marketplace has been replaced by NBA Top Shot.
At the time of writing, NBA Top Shot is the leader of the NFT market with a 24-hour trading volume of $3.63 million followed by OpenSea with a 24-hour trading volume of $3.26 million, reveals DappRadar stats. Currently, more than 20 million NFTs piece are available on OpenSea. As Crypto Economy reported, OpenSea has recently raised $23 million in the latest round led by Andreessen Horowitz to scale the largest marketplace for NFTs.
According to the announcement, Klaytn-powered NFTs, ranging from game items and characters to digital arts, will be available for peer-to-peer trading on OpenSea by the end of June 2021. Once the integration is complete, users can sync their OpenSea accounts with Kaikas wallet, the web browser extension wallet that connects to the Klaytn network, and buy or sell NFTs with Klaytn’s token KLAY.
