Bitget, Reality, and Aurelion announced a partnership to launch rAURE, a token representing shares in a Nasdaq-listed company that holds tokenized gold as its primary treasury asset.

The product will be backed 1:1 by Aurelion (NASDAQ: AURE) shares held in custody. Reality will be responsible for issuing the tokens, while Bitget will serve as their primary trading platform.

Aurelion holds XAUâ‚® (Tether Gold) as its main treasury asset. Investors will be able to trade a tokenized representation of its shares through blockchain infrastructure, although rAURE’s value will be linked to the company’s stock rather than directly to the price of gold.

Bitget to Offer 24/7 Trading

Reality will use its tokenization infrastructure to issue rAURE and maintain its connection to the underlying shares.

The system will feature minting and redemption mechanisms linking the tokens to the shares held in custody. Each issued token will be backed by one AURE share.

According to Alice Li, Head of Reality, the goal is to make these assets accessible through platforms that crypto investors already use.

Meanwhile, Bitget will enable 24/7 trading of rAURE, alongside other digital assets and tokenized equities. The service will only be available to users who meet the legal requirements in their respective jurisdictions.

Combining Tokenized Gold Reserves and Financial Technology

Aurelion develops financial services backed by gold, including systems for managing risk and authorizing payments using the metal as collateral.

Its CEO, identified as Frank, explained that the company is developing a gold-backed payment card to be issued by its partners. According to the executive, its technology can authorize transactions against gold collateral in under two seconds.

rAURE will join Reality’s rTokens lineup of tokenized assets, which represents publicly traded securities through tokens linked to their respective underlying assets.

The companies have not yet announced launch or listing dates for rAURE. Those details will be released in a separate announcement.
