Large Bitcoin wallet cohorts expanded over the past month, according to Newhedge’s address-distribution data. Addresses holding 100 to 1,000 BTC increased by 202, while wallets holding 1,000 to 10,000 BTC rose by 41, showing continued growth among some of Bitcoin’s largest holder groups.
The trend was not uniform across every large-balance category. Wallets holding more than 10,000 BTC declined by two over the same period, while addresses with 10 to 100 BTC increased by 80. The data therefore points to accumulation in several major cohorts rather than a blanket rise across all whale categories.
The next signal will be whether the 100-to-10,000 BTC cohorts continue expanding through the coming weeks. Sustained growth in these wallet groups would indicate that large-address participation remains elevated, although address counts alone cannot determine whether each wallet represents a unique investor or whether coins are being consolidated across entities.
