Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD recorded a new mint of 30 million tokens, adding to a steady issuance activity that reached $59.5 million in just two days during the last week of September.
The operation was detected by the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker, a tool that monitors on-chain minting and burning operations. However, the new mint does not automatically imply an equivalent increase in circulating supply.

The distinction is technically crucial. According to Ripple’s official documentation, institutional clients deposit dollars before the equivalent RLUSD tokens are issued, and when they redeem those tokens, they are destroyed.
In line with that mechanism, two transactions on September 22 burned approximately 29.85 million RLUSD, illustrating the speed at which supply can move in both directions. The treasury operates both as an issuance channel and as a tool for institutional liquidity management.
RLUSD’s market capitalization hovers around $2.5 billion, backed by approximately $2.530 billion in reserve assets. Its growth is especially pronounced on the XRP Ledger, where it accounts for roughly 93% of all dollar-pegged assets, out of a total stablecoin pool approaching $1.3 billion on the network.
Ripple also developed Ripple Mint to allow institutions to issue and redeem RLUSD programmatically, and integrates the token into credit markets, yield products, and settlement infrastructure.
