An Ethereum whale that bought 3,000 ETH at $18.80 eight years ago sold another 1,000 ETH for about $2.68 million on September 29, according to Lookonchain. The whale originally spent roughly $56,500 acquiring the 3,000 ETH. Lookonchain said the 2,000 ETH sold so far fetched an average price of $3,096 each, while another 1,000 ETH remains in the wallet, valued at approximately $2.67 million at the time of the update.
Lookonchain estimated total profit at about $8.8 million when combining the sales and remaining position. The next point to watch is whether the holder sells the final 1,000 ETH or continues holding, as the latest transaction confirms another partial exit rather than a full liquidation of the long-held Ethereum position.
