X launched its U.S. Cashtag Partner Program on September 15, adding a “Trade” option to supported stock, ETF and cryptocurrency tickers, according to the company’s official X Business account. U.S. users can tap a Cashtag from their timeline to view market information and then choose a partner platform, with the feature creating a direct route from financial conversations to trade execution.

The initial partners are Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, Interactive Brokers and Moomoo. After selecting “Trade,” users are redirected to the chosen brokerage or exchange to log in or create an account and complete the transaction, meaning X provides the discovery and routing layer but does not itself execute or custody the trade.
The rollout builds on X’s Cashtag pages, which already surface price charts and related posts around supported assets. The next test is how widely U.S. users adopt the new trading links across crypto and traditional markets, while actual execution, account requirements and eligibility remain governed by the participating financial platforms.
