Hanwha Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of the South Korean conglomerate Hanwha Group valued at $200 billion, announced that its new tokenized securities platform developed on the Avalanche network is now available. Built in collaboration with FairSquare Lab, the infrastructure integrates the Avalanche public network with the enterprise solution Hyperledger Besu to digitize traditional assets and capital market securities.

Thanks to this breakthrough, Hanwha positions itself at the forefront of decentralized finance in Asia, coinciding with South Korea’s regulatory reforms taking effect in February 2027 that legally recognize blockchains as official securities registers. The initiative boosted interest in AVAX and confirms the growing institutional adoption of Layer 1 networks as settlement infrastructure for real-world assets (RWA).

With this milestone, Hanwha consolidates its digital asset investment strategy, where it already stands as a major shareholder in Securitize. The next step involves interoperability with the Korea Securities Depository and the deployment of pilot phases for private money market funds, corporate bonds, and fractional instruments ahead of the final regulatory rollout.
