Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions said August 24 that they signed a non-binding letter of intent to expand access to regulated prediction markets. Under the proposed arrangement, Gemini Titan would become the exclusive CFTC-regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s FCM, giving connected brokerage clients access without building separate exchange infrastructure.
Brokerages offering crypto event contracts through Apex would use Gemini for execution and clearing. The parties could also collaborate on sports, economic and financial-market contracts on a non-exclusive basis. Gemini already holds DCM and DCO regulatory infrastructure through its subsidiaries, placing execution, clearing and brokerage distribution inside a more integrated event-contract stack.
The agreement is not yet definitive, and both companies said they expect to finalize details in the coming weeks. That distinction keeps the expansion conditional, with conversion of the letter of intent into a binding commercial arrangement as the immediate next milestone before Apex-connected brokerages can rely on the proposed distribution model.
