Calle said researchers are still guiding the models directly while improving automated testing harnesses, and the team is averaging 2.31 high- and critical-severity findings per person per hour. That pace makes human verification the essential filter between automated detection and actionable vulnerability reports.
The volume of findings now shifts pressure toward project maintainers, who must reproduce, prioritize and patch the most serious issues without exposing exploitable details prematurely. The results do not mean every flagged item has already been independently confirmed, leaving responsible disclosure and rapid remediation as the decisive next phase for Bitcoin’s open-source ecosystem.
