Payward Services and Broadridge Financial Solutions announced a collaboration to extend corporate governance capabilities to holders of xStocks, the tokenized equity framework developed by Payward.
Through Broadridge’s unified governance platform, investors will be able to authenticate on ProxyVote.com via Web3 authentication, access proxy materials and submit their voting preferences for the underlying securities of their tokenized positions.
The integration addresses one of the most evident gaps between tokenized share ownership and traditional equity ownership: the right to vote on corporate decisions. Mark Greenberg, Chief Commercial Officer and Global Head of Payward Services, noted that “the ultimate goal of tokenization was never just to build faster capital markets, but to give people around the world everything that comes with owning a company, including a voice in its management.”
Payward Services currently holds more than 500 tokenized assets, including stocks, ETFs and pre-IPO offerings, and xStocks represents the tokenized equity market with the highest transaction volume. This solution preserves the institutional reporting and auditing standards inherent to Broadridge’s proxy infrastructure, bringing them to native blockchain ecosystems.
