TL;DR
- Centrifuge closed Q2 2026 with strategic agreements with Coinbase, Ethena, Kraken Institutional and OKX, consolidating itself as key infrastructure in tokenization.
- New York Life Investment Management, with approximately $807 billion in assets under management, brought its first tokenized fund to the blockchain using the platform.
- Ethena allocated $250 million to JAAA following a competitive selection process. Grove Basin committed $1 billion for instant JTRSY redemptions.
The second quarter of 2026 has been a resounding success for Centrifuge, the real-world asset tokenization platform that harvested a series of institutional partnerships unprecedented in its history.
Coinbase designated it as its preferred tokenization infrastructure and took an equity stake in CFG, the protocol’s native token. This decision extends the platform’s tokenization framework to Base, Coinbase’s layer-2 network. Kraken Institutional and OKX also formalized their own partnerships during the same period.
The most significant data point of the quarter came from New York Life Investment Management. The asset manager, with around $807 billion in assets under management and 180 years of history, brought its first tokenized fund to the blockchain through Centrifuge: the U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond (HYB) strategy. It is one of the first high-yield corporate bond strategies to operate natively on a decentralized network.

Centrifuge Becomes the Hub of Institutional Liquidity
Ethena selected Centrifuge as its strategic tokenization partner following a formal request-for-proposal process, and allocated $250 million to JAAA as one of the first real-world assets to back USDe. Meanwhile, Grove Basin committed a credit line of $1 billion for instant JTRSY redemptions, offering daily exits to USDC around the clock and with no waiting queue. Kraken Institutional incorporated JAAA as its first real-world asset in qualified custody.
On the technical front, version V3.2 completed its audits with the Onchain Portfolio Manager as its central feature. This tool allows an asset manager to administer a single vault with positions in tokenized Treasury bonds, credit, equities and onchain loans, rebalancing everything with unified accounting and on-chain execution.
Additionally, the ERC-7540 standard, co-developed by Centrifuge, was incorporated into OpenZeppelin‘s community contracts repository, becoming a public building block for the DeFi ecosystem.
Slight TVL Decline
Total value locked reached $1.6 billion, registering a 6% decline compared to the previous quarter, while Centrifuge’s holder base (CFG) grew 16% to 10,988 holders. The most important assets are already operating on Monad, and the integration of products such as deSPXA, deJTRSY and deJAAA reached Uniswap, Euler, Sushi and Grvt.
