Maple Finance boosted the accessibility of its tokenized credit tokens by integrating syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT into the 1inch DEX. Both tokens are now available for trading through 1inch’s Swap, Trade and Terminal functions, and can also be tracked in the Portfolio section. Builders and institutions can also access them via the 1inch Business APIs.
Maple is an on-chain lending platform oriented toward institutions. Trading firms borrow stablecoins and deposit crypto assets such as BTC or ETH as overcollateralized collateral. In return, lenders receive tokens representing their position: syrupUSDC when they deposit USDC, and syrupUSDT when they deposit USDT.
Unlike an idle stablecoin, these tokens reflect capital deployed within Maple’s credit system and can increase in value, though they are also subject to the risks inherent to the underlying strategy.
1inch’s role in this integration is to route and execute swaps between stablecoins and syrup tokens through the liquidity available on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and BNB Chain, without intervening in the issuance or management of the credit product, which remains on Maple’s side. The integration aims to make tokenized credit more portable and interoperable within the DeFi ecosystem.
