KuCoin Pay announced the expansion of its QR code payment capabilities in Argentina and Peru, integrating cryptocurrencies and stablecoins with the most widely used local payment networks in both countries.

In Argentina, the solution will connect with the Transferencias 3.0 network, enabling payments through interoperable QR codes from platforms such as Mercado Pago. In Peru, the integration will reach Yape and Plin, two of the most widely adopted digital payment services among consumers and merchants.

The expansion targets the dominant payment infrastructure in Latin America, where QR codes have consolidated as one of the primary methods in everyday transactions, from retail purchases to peer-to-peer transfers. KuCoin Pay operates through universal QR connectivity, a feature that optimizes payment routing across enabled local channels without requiring an exclusive crypto ecosystem process.

Alicia Kao, CEO of KuCoin, stated that “real-world utility will define the next phase of crypto adoption, and payments are where this shift becomes most visible.” The company indicated that it will continue deepening its localization strategy and expanding practical use cases in high-growth markets.
