The decentralized oracle protocol DIA announced a staking reward adjustment within its Lasernet network, effective July 1, 2026. After completing the first year of mainnet operations, the emission rate is being recalibrated to target an annual yield of approximately 5% to 6% APY, calculated over the 4.4 million DIA currently staked. The rate will vary based on total staked volume: the higher the participation, the lower the per-token yield, and vice versa.
This change marks the natural close of the bootstrapping phase. The Genesis Staking program, launched in late 2024, offered up to 30% APY to attract early holders and migrate capital to Lasernet ahead of the mainnet launch. During the first year of live operations, elevated rates accompanied the network’s maturation process. Today, the network has more than 11 independent Feeder operators —including Restake, Liquify, Chainbase, and Stakin— and delivers and verifies oracle data on-chain across more than 60 chains.
The staking mechanics will remain unchanged:Â users will continue to enjoy flexible entry and exit, a seven-day unbonding period, auto-compounding of rewards, and no lockups beyond the minimum of 1 wDIA. Current stakers do not need to take any action. The adjustment is applied automatically and does not affect open positions or accrued rewards.
