Sharplink will be added to the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes effective June 29, 2026, as confirmed by the company through an official press release.
The inclusion was announced following the publication of FTSE Russell’s preliminary reconstitution list on May 22 and will take effect at the close of the indexes’ semi-annual reconstitution. According to FTSE Russell, approximately $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked against the U.S. Russell indexes, spanning both index funds and active strategies.
The Russell 2000, in particular, is regarded as the primary benchmark for small-cap equities in the U.S. market, making membership a relevant factor for institutional visibility and access to capital from index-replicating funds.
Joseph Chalom, Chief Executive Officer of Sharplink, stated that the inclusion should be understood as “a validation of the company’s institutional ETH treasury strategy” and that, in his view, it will broaden SBET’s shareholder base. Sharplink is one of the largest corporate holders of Ethereum in the world and one of the leading institutional drivers of the cryptocurrency’s adoption.
