Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Accumulation

According to a recent filing, Strategy purchased 811 BTC between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1 at an average price of $80,846 per coin. The acquisition was funded through at-the-market sales of Class A common stock, with the company selling 1,178,552 MSTR shares for roughly $164 million in proceeds during the period. Of the funds raised, about $65.5 million was directed toward Bitcoin purchases, with the remaining amount added to the company’s USD Cash account.

The transaction followed a one-week pause in acquisitions and came shortly after Executive Chairman Michael Saylor hinted at another purchase by sharing the company’s Bitcoin acquisition tracker on social media. The latest buy lifted the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to 849,327 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of approximately $64.1 billion and an average purchase price of about $75,451 per coin.

Beyond expanding its Bitcoin reserves, Strategy continued adjusting its balance sheet through preferred stock operations. The company repurchased nearly 2.1 million STRC preferred shares for approximately $208.2 million using available USD Cash. The firm also paid $43.4 million in preferred stock dividends from its USD Reserve. Following those transactions, the company reported USD Reserve holdings of $4.79 billion and USD Cash balances of $132.7 million as of Nov. 1. Management noted that combined USD assets stood at roughly $4.9 billion. In addition, around $748.6 million remains available under the company’s preferred-stock repurchase program.

Strategy Reports Strong Quarter

Last week, Strategy reported net income of $19.5 billion for the third quarter, compared with $2.79 billion during the same period a year earlier. A $20.9 billion gain tied to the rising value of its Bitcoin holdings played a major role in the increase. Analysts from StoneX and TD Cowen recently argued that Strategy is now better positioned to continue acquiring Bitcoin after improving liquidity and stabilizing preferred-stock financing. The company also announced a leadership change, with CFO Andrew Kang set to step down this week. Current COO Reza Virasteh is expected to assume the CFO role in January, marking another transition period for Strategy.
