Pyth Network said that Pyth Core will receive a major infrastructure upgrade on July 31. According to the blog, access to Pyth Price Feeds API will require a data plan, while the API remains backward compatible for existing integrations.
The change affects applications already using Pyth Core, especially teams that depend on price feeds across DeFi, trading and onchain products. Pyth said the upgrade brings lower latency, higher update frequencies, broader symbol coverage and data from the same institutional publisher network that supports Pyth Pro.
The next point to watch is the July 31 cutover. Builders can upgrade early by subscribing through Pyth Terminal, while automatic migration will redirect existing endpoints and may involve a few minutes of downtime, making API key readiness the operational priority.
