Wirex and EMURGO, the commercial arm of Cardano, announced a partnership to launch the first Cardano Card — a multichain card integrated into the Wirex app with support for over 685 cryptocurrencies, including ADA, BTC, ETH, and USDC.
The card will be available to Wirex’s six million users across 130 countries, enabling online and offline payments wherever Visa is accepted. Users will be able to earn up to 8% crypto cashback, access loans and DeFi yield products, and withdraw funds from ATMs.
The project aims to bring Cardano closer to the traditional banking system. In 2026, the second phase will introduce a non-custodial version, giving users full control over their assets.
Wirex has processed more than $20 billion in transactions and plans to expand this integration as a bridge between the financial system and the Web3 economy.
