Crypto trader Ash Crypto said on October 7, citing Arkham data, that wallets linked to the U.S. government moved more than $100 million in Bitcoin and BNB. The transfers included 833.599 BTC worth about $71.6 million and roughly 40,285 BNB valued at $31.63 million, with the combined movement exceeding $103 million without confirming a sale.

The BTC originated from assets seized in the Potapenko-Turogin and Bitfinex cases and was later forwarded to addresses labeled by Arkham as Coinbase Prime deposits. The BNB came from assets seized from Alameda Research and moved through unlabeled addresses, while the transfers show movement of government-controlled crypto rather than confirmed liquidation. Readers can review how Bitcoin works and why on-chain transfers do not automatically indicate selling.
The next point to watch is whether the transferred assets remain at their destination addresses or move into transactions that indicate disposal. Further on-chain activity will be needed to determine whether the government intends to sell any of the assets, while Arkham data cited in the report showed U.S.-linked wallets still holding roughly $27.5 billion in seized cryptocurrency.
