Uniswap’s UNI token recorded a 70% increase this week after the announcement of the “UNIfication” governance proposal. Uniswap Labs and the Uniswap Foundation presented the plan that would activate protocol fees for the first time.

Whale activity reached its highest level in four years while new wallet creations hit a three-year peak. The price briefly approached $10. CryptoQuant data shows an increase in large spot orders.

The proposal includes burning 100 million UNI tokens, equivalent to 16% of the circulating supply. Generated fees will be directed toward token burns, creating value for holders. The proposal requires approval through a governance vote.
