Fundstrat co-founder and BitMine chairman Tom Lee projected that Ethereum will significantly outperform Bitcoin in the coming years. The analyst stated that the ETH/BTC ratio—recently sitting at 0.02994—is beginning to break out of the multi-year downtrend that constrained the second-largest cryptocurrency, driven by new macroeconomic and technological catalysts.

Lee argues that the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) on Wall Street and the rise of agentic artificial intelligence applications will generate unprecedented demand for Ethereum’s infrastructure. By positioning itself as the future settlement layer of global finance, this new structural momentum could far exceed the cycles driven by ICOs and NFTs.

In line with this outlook, BitMine reported holdings of 5.8 million ETH (equivalent to 4.8% of the circulating supply), valued at $11 billion after adding nearly 10,000 additional ETH. The next step for traders and investors will be monitoring the technical consolidation of the ETH/BTC ratio as confirmation of an institutional capital rotation toward smart contracts.
