Tokenomist says that between Dec. 29 and Jan. 6, several of the biggest scheduled token unlocks could add more than $585 million in new supply, with Hyperliquid (HYPE), Sui (SUI) and EigenCloud (EIGEN) among the key names to watch.
For Hyperliquid, the main event lands on Dec. 29: 9.92 million HYPE, valued at roughly $258 million, followed by a second unlock of 1.2 million tokens slated for Jan. 6. For Sui, 43.69 million SUI (about $65 million) is set to unlock on Jan. 1, allocated across investors, community reserve, early contributors and Mysten Labs. That same day, EigenCloud is scheduled to unlock 36.82 million EIGEN (around $14.7 million), with allocations to investors and early contributors.
This doesn’t guarantee immediate selling, but it can tighten market timing: more liquid tokens can amplify volatility if they translate into exchange inflows. The next signal to watch is whether flows accelerate after Jan. 1 and, in particular, around the Jan. 6 leg.
