Strive acquired 1,375 bitcoin for approximately $109 million between August 31 and September 4, at an average price of $79,281 per unit, bringing its total holdings to 24,531 BTC.
The transaction was reported in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is part of the company’s strategy to scale its position among the largest corporate bitcoin holdings in the market.
Matt Cole, chief executive officer of Strive, reported that approximately 70% of the capital raised during the week came from sales of SATA, the perpetual preferred stock instrument the company uses to finance its bitcoin purchases.
The notional value of SATA in circulation reached nearly $999 million, placing it on the edge of the $1 billion threshold and establishing the instrument as the central pillar of the financing strategy.
With this addition, Strive moves closer to its goal of displacing Twenty One Capital from second place among public companies holding the largest amounts of bitcoin in their treasury. According to estimates, Strive would need to acquire approximately 1,200 BTC per week for the remainder of 2026 to achieve this, and the latest purchase exceeds that threshold.
