Space and Time announced the adoption of Chainlink’s privacy standard within its Virtual Vaults architecture. Through this integration, institutional lenders will be able to verify asset backing conditions in real time without requiring direct access to borrowers’ wallets or their private API credentials, resolving one of the primary confidentiality barriers in decentralized finance (DeFi).

The solution leverages Chainlink Confidential HTTP within Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to query data sourced from centralized exchanges, custodians, and prime brokers. By validating collateral ratios and converting the outcome into zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs), the protocol confirms onchain that financial requirements are strictly met without publicly disclosing balances or the exact composition of trading portfolios.

This technical architecture marks a decisive step toward the convergence of traditional banking and onchain credit. As deployment moves into production environments, the next challenge will involve measuring the volume of secured capital and the real adoption rate among lenders seeking institutional liquidity under strict regulatory privacy frameworks.
