Two blockchain traders earned more than $1.3 million after acquiring large positions in JESSE, the new creator-coin tied to Base lead developer Jesse Pollak. According to Arkham Intelligence, the profits were generated minutes after the token was deployed on the Coinbase-backed network.

The gains were enabled by Base’s new “flashblocks” system, a micro-block feature that allows automated bots to submit high-fee transactions inside the same on-chain block. During the initial liquidity seeding of 500 million JESSE tokens, two wallets acquired 26% of the total supply, paying premium sequencer fees to front-run other buyers. One sniper reportedly spent $191,000 on tokens and over $44,000 in fees before selling for a profit exceeding $600,000.

Base has positioned creator coins as a way to strengthen alignment between audiences and builders through shared ownership. The network is expected to release technical documentation on flashblocks in upcoming updates.
