Quant Network said that next-generation financial infrastructure is no longer just a roadmap, arguing it is being built, tested and in some cases already operating. In its perspective piece, Quant framed the shift around continuous, interoperable and programmable systems.

The argument affects banks, corporates and capital markets firms still relying on batch settlement, siloed systems and manual treasury workflows. Quant pointed to the Bank of England’s Synchronisation Lab, where Quant is one of 18 firms participating as a Synchronisation Operator across use cases including digital gilt settlement, intraday repo and corporate treasury operations.

The next point to watch is whether these trials move further into live market infrastructure. Quant said its PayScript engine powers QuantNet and is already being used by corporate clients, while the broader test is turning programmable settlement from pilot activity into everyday financial plumbing.
