The blockchain platform Plasma introduced Plasma One, a mobile banking application designed to save, send, and spend digital dollars through a Visa card. This development introduces a three-tier membership system (Lite, Core, and Platinum) tied directly to locking its native token, XPL, aiming to massify the use of stablecoins in everyday transactions.

This launch represents a direct effort to add real utility to the XPL token, restricting initial access to its holders. Despite attractive stablecoin yields of up to 5% and card cashbacks, market analysts point out that the current cost to access the top tiers is high, requiring users to lock up to 100,000 XPL (around $12,000) to maximize cashback benefits.

Starting today, users who sign up during the first seven days will receive the Core tier free for one year. The next step for the community will be evaluating whether their annual spending volume justifies the investment in the Plasma One ecosystem.
