PAX Gold [PAXG] and OmiseGO [OMG] Tokens are Now Available for Trading on Kraken Exchange

The year 2019 has been the year for change for Kraken exchange, but the changes are also coming with new programs and tokens. Per a blog post on its official website, OmiseGO (OMG) and PAX Gold PAXG tokens will be available for trading starting at 13:30 UTC on the 29th of October 2019. The tokens withdrawal and deposit features will also be activated.

With the two tokens coming with different features, traders are set to enjoy the benefits of spreading their assets in various coins and tokens. OmiseGo is an Ethereum based ERC20 token that’s powered by OMG tokens. Besides that, it’s used to facilitate peer to peer transactions.

On the other hand, PAX Gold token is a token which is directly tied to gold in-store and enables traders to own part of the gold in storage. PAX Gold value is linked to the market value of physical gold at any moment. The tokens are also ERC20 Ethereum based tokens. Through PAXG and OMG, traders now have additional investment options available at Kraken crypto exchange. However, that’s not all.

Kraken Has Made the Two Tokens Available in Various Trading Pairs

Apart from just making the tokens available for trading, Kraken exchange has paired the tokens in different trading pairs. OMG is open for trading in OMG/ETH and OMG/XBT trading pairs while PAXG is available in PAXG/ETH and PAXG/XB. However, traders will also be able to initiate traders on Euro and US dollar trading pairs.

For a start trading of OMG and PAXG tokens has been activated on three Kraken trading platforms, the OTC desk, Kraken Pro under trade.kraken.com and kraken.com. Traders prefer different types of platforms hence the need for various platforms. However, OMG and PAXG tokens won’t be available on Kraken features and Margin trading platform.

With that Kraken concluded its announcement on unveiling the two tokens and finished off with advising traders to trade with caution. However, this doesn’t mean more assets won’t be added. Per its policy, the exchange doesn’t disclose details of future assets to go live on its exchange. Instead, the community is only informed of assets going live shortly before they are available for trading. Besides adding two more tokens, Kraken exchange just unveiled its WebSockets private Application Program Interface (API) program.
