Orbs has appointed Ran Hammer as chief executive officer, with former CEO Nadav Shemesh moving into the role of executive chairman. Hammer has been with the project since its launch in 2017, and the leadership change places a long-time Orbs executive at the helm as the Layer-3 blockchain enters its next stage.
Before becoming CEO, Hammer served as chief business officer, leading integrations across the Orbs protocol suite and helping build relationships with DeFi partners. Orbs said his work connected its products with decentralized exchanges and supported adoption of advanced on-chain trading tools, while his experience spans the project’s technology, partnerships and community.
Shemesh will remain involved as executive chairman, focusing on long-term strategy and supporting the leadership team. Hammer will now lead Orbs as it continues developing its technology and expanding its ecosystem, with the company positioning the transition as a continuation of the work built since 2017 rather than a change in strategic direction.
