TL;DR
- Mirae Asset Securities completed a tokenized funding-note issuance on Solana for eligible institutional investors under its $3 billion Guaranteed Structured Note Programme.
- The six-month U.S. dollar floating-rate notes were issued in Hong Kong, with Mirae managing token issuance, payments and lifecycle administration while Marketnode acted as authorized distributor.
- The private placement remains limited to eligible professional investors, while Mirae says the structure could support broader tokenized structured-product distribution over time.
Mirae Asset Securities (HK) completed a tokenized funding-note issuance to eligible institutional investors on Solana, expanding blockchain-based distribution for structured products. According to the official announcement, the transaction involved U.S. dollar-denominated six-month floating-rate notes issued in Hong Kong under the company’s $3 billion Guaranteed Structured Note Programme. Mirae managed token issuance, payments and lifecycle administration through its own digital infrastructure, extending institutional products onto Solana.
Mirae Extends Structured-Note Distribution Onchain
The transaction used Solana as the public blockchain infrastructure for tokenized distribution, while Marketnode acted as an authorized distributor. The Singapore-regulated market infrastructure operator supported distribution to eligible investors rather than serving as issuer. The structure combines an established Hong Kong structured-note programme with a blockchain-based holding and distribution channel for professional investors. This distinction is important because tokenization changes how the notes are represented and distributed without turning them into unregulated crypto assets, reflecting the mechanics of real-world asset tokenization.

Mirae said its proprietary infrastructure handled the tokenized notes from issuance through payments and lifecycle management. The company described the transaction as evidence that its internal systems can support end-to-end digital-asset workflows. The project moves beyond a blockchain proof of concept by applying tokenization to an existing institutional funding product. Solana Foundation supported the transaction, while the network provides public infrastructure through which eligible investors can hold the tokenized notes, adding another institutional use case alongside tokenized securities already available on Solana.
Distribution remains restricted. The notes were offered through private placement only to eligible professional investors as defined under Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance, and they were neither authorized nor registered with the Securities and Futures Commission. The transaction expands digital distribution without creating a retail securities offering. That regulated access model is consistent with the growing presence of tokenized real-world assets across Solana, where product eligibility depends on each instrument’s legal structure.
Mirae and partners frame distribution as the next stage of tokenization. Marketnode said established financial institutions already know how to create sophisticated products, while blockchain can connect them with new institutional channels. The completed issuance provides a model Mirae says could eventually extend to a broader range of structured products. However, the announcement does not identify additional products, launch dates or transaction sizes for future issuances, so any expansion beyond these six-month floating-rate notes remains prospective rather than confirmed.
