KuCoin said August 31 that it partnered with FinChain to integrate yield-bearing FUSD into its RWA Collateral Mirroring Solution, or RCMS. The setup lets eligible institutional users connect FUSD held in custody to KuCoin trading accounts as mapped collateral value, making yield-bearing RWA collateral usable without selling or transferring the asset directly to the exchange.
FUSD is backed by real-world assets including money market funds and highly rated government bonds. Through RCMS, institutions can preserve existing custody and yield arrangements while accessing KuCoin liquidity, execution, risk controls and position management, with the integration reducing the trade-off between earning yield and deploying capital for active trading.
KuCoin said the partnership expands the yield-bearing assets supported by RCMS, while FinChain supplies FUSD and its underlying asset backing. The companies plan further work on collateral eligibility, custody connectivity, risk parameters and offshore expansion, making institutional adoption and risk-framework execution the next tests for FUSD inside KuCoin’s trading infrastructure.
