Kalshi is preparing to seek regulatory approval to offer perpetual futures tied to individual U.S. stocks, including Tesla, Apple and Nvidia, The Wall Street Journal reported on September 11, citing people familiar with the matter. The plan would make single-stock contracts available around the clock without expiration dates if regulators clear the products.

The proposed expansion could cover about 60 perpetual futures linked to stocks and exchange-traded funds, extending Kalshi’s push beyond crypto and recently launched gold and silver contracts. Perpetual futures allow leveraged positions to remain open indefinitely, meaning price moves can amplify both gains and losses for traders.

The stock products are not yet approved or available, leaving regulatory clearance as the central next step. Kalshi’s broader perpetual-futures business is also facing legal scrutiny after CME Group sued the Commodity Futures Trading Commission over its treatment of the contracts, so the planned rollout remains dependent on the regulatory process.
